- Can you laser-etch a headstone design I made with ChatGPT?
- Yes. AI renders are a great starting point. We redraw the scenes as production laser artwork so fine detail, faces and lettering hold up in granite, then show you a proof on the actual stone before cutting.
- Which granite works best for laser etching?
- Jet Black granite. Laser etching lightens the polished surface, so black gives the strongest contrast for portraits, scenes and fine detail. Lettering can be sandblasted on any of our granites.
- How much does a custom laser-etched headstone cost?
- Flat markers with laser artwork start around $509 and upright headstones around $1,959, depending on size, granite and how much of the face is etched. We price your exact design after review — sending it is free.
- Will the names and dates be exactly right?
- AI images often misspell or invent text, so we never etch lettering from the picture. You give us the exact names, dates and verses; we engrave them from that text and you check them on the proof.
