A design consultation is the first step of a memorial project. You book a time. Your project manager meets you on a video call. That person is your design consultant for the whole job, from this conversation through the final walk-through.
Have a few things nearby if you have them. The name of the person the memorial is for, and whether one name or two will be on the stone. The cemetery name and the section, if you know them. Any rules or size limits the cemetery already gave you. A thought about an upright, a flat marker, a slant, or a bench. You can also come with none of that and sort it out on the call.
The consult covers the cemetery site check in outline: what the lot may allow, and what still has to be confirmed with the cemetery. It covers whether a published design is close to what you want, or whether the work is Full Custom. You'll see the price on a published design before the call. A fully custom design has no price on the page. The design consult is where we price it. A vase or a photo is added only when you choose one that already has a price.
There is no charge for the call. The call does not set a production date. Timing stays on the shipping policy, and it is confirmed when you order.
After the consult, a lead designer prepares the CAD proof. Your project manager remains the person you call. The lead designer is the person who produces the drawing. Nothing is cut until you approve that drawing.
The rest of the path, from this call through setting, is the design-build process after the consult. The approval step is described in how the CAD proof becomes the shop drawing. When you are ready, book the consult.
