The price stored on a monument listing is the price stored for that stone. Other costs show up only when they apply to your cemetery or to a later change. This page names the ones already described on this site. It does not add a cost that the site does not already state.
A cemetery can require its own foundation crew. The shipping policy says that when the cemetery charges a foundation fee, the family pays the cemetery, and that fee is separate from installation. The same page says that fee typically ranges from $100 to $500 and varies by cemetery and monument size. That range is the shipping policy's range. It is not a new price, and it is not added to the monument cost calculator.
In our service area the shipping policy includes a concrete foundation unless the cemetery requires its own contractor. Outside that service area the monument ships for the cemetery or a local installer to set. We install nearby or ship free. Shipping to the lower 48 is included. A second installation charge is not listed on this page.
A final date engraved later is a separate job on a stone that is already in place. The final-date page describes three jobs: a death date only, both dates, or the name with both dates. It does not list a price. Ask for that price when you know the lettering.
A vase and a ceramic photo are their own listings. Each published listing shows the price stored for that item. The monument cost calculator adds a vase or a photo only when you select it and a published price exists. It does not invent one.
The return policy describes two charges that apply if you cancel, not if you complete the order. Before you approve the design, a cancellation can include a $75 design fee when substantial design work has been done. After you approve the proof and before fabrication starts, the refund is minus a 15% restocking and design fee. Once fabrication has started, the same policy says the order is not eligible for a refund because the granite has been cut to your specifications.
If the finished stone matches the proof you approved, and the proof itself had an error, the return policy treats the correction as a modification. The cost of that correction is not listed as a flat fee. It is discussed for that stone.
None of these items changes the price stored on a listing. The listing price, the shipping policy, and the return policy are the sources. A design call is where a specific cemetery fee is confirmed.
